I've been a little out of commission lately and I am so behind on blogging .... but here are some of the highlights of our Holidays! It seriously was the best this year with the kids .... Liv was SO into everything and it made it so much more fun!

Every year we go see the lights and I must say we have it figured out pretty good. Our kids LOVE the lights and Liv is way into the Nativity story this year and loved, loved all of those too. Love this time of the year!!!

Wow what a Halloween we had! I seriously am still recovering! The kids were a riot .... Liv was up at 6:30 that morning ready to trick or treat ..... seriously that girl!

Our cousins came over since they used to live in the same neighborhood! And yes Jack already had a sucker .... he ate SO many wrappers that night it was ridiculous!

This was the first program for preschool that Liv has done and I was SO proud!! It honestly was so cute and Liv knew every word and action to all the songs ... it was so great!

I was lucky enough to go to on two separate trips to Vegas and St. George, just a few short weeks apart from each other. The first trip was with Matt's entire family, adults only, and we had such a fun time! My In-laws are awesome and they treated us to such a fun trip! We got to see "O" from the third row and it was amazing!! This is pretty much the only picture I had but we shopped and ate and saw a movie and a show .... it was awesome!

My Mom takes my sisters and I on a girl's trip each year and about two weeks after I got home from the first trip I left on this one! We had a blast and shopped WAY too much, ate WAY too much food, and saw The Little Mermaid at Tuachan .... it was such a great trip!!

The Magical Land of Cornbelly's

One of our most favorite things about fall is the Cornbelly's Corn Maze down at Thanksgiving Point. A few weeks ago we went down with our good friends the Munk's and had such a great time! The kids run and run and play and run and have the time of their lives. I think we are even headed back again this weekend to wear the kids out even more:)

A Big Day

I have SO many things to post about and I am so behind, but first things first ..... yesterday was a big day in our house!! It was Liv's first primary program and Jack's first day of nursery!! It is true that Jack didn't quite make it to nursery since it is about 2 hours after his bedtime and he turned into a little monster man the second we got to church .... but I got a picture to try and document it! AND Liv .... oh Liv .... she thought the program was ALL about her ..... seriously she put on quite the show for everyone .... it was quite the production. But at least Jack can now GO to nursery and Liv provided LOTS of comic relief .... at least that's what I am telling myself :)

Oh how we LOVE the State Fair!! Lots of animals, The big yellow slide, FUNNEL CAKE!, all the crazy people, roller coasters, ah so much fun! Our kids just loved everything about it and made it even more fun. Liv is quite the daredevil and went on every crazy ride Matt and I wanted to take her on ... and loved every second of it!

I will never forget

I was sitting in AP English and will never forget a teacher running in and yelling that a plane had just hit one of the twin towers and to turn the television on. And my English teacher made us continue our work like nothing happened .... a couple minutes later another teacher ran in and turned our television on .... right as the second plane hit ..... I will never forget those horrible images I saw of people jumping out of the towers, of the towers falling, of those grieving for loved ones. I will never forget how happy I was to see my Mom that day, I will never, ever forget the faces of the children that were born that year without a father, and I will never forget the heroism of those men and women that saved lives and lost their own. I will never forget.

So today has been a dousy .... like I am ready for bedtime and to start fresh tomorrow ..... broken furniture, coloring on walls, MANY meltdowns, Daddy home way past bedtime tonight, and to make things worse I went to lunch with one of my best friends and her adorable little girl .... and my kids turned into crazy monsters ..... no joke ..... screaming, hitting, crying, running, throwing everything ..... nightmare ..... I think we scared my friend too death .... seriously, and she is like 8 months pregnant with her second ..... So during nap time I am on the computer to try and take a breather and look at all the Fall lovelies. Have I mention how much I love the Fall ... the activities, the food, the cooler weather, and the clothes, oh the clothes! Here are some of my favorite things right now .....

First Day of Preschool

I have been not doing so good with this blog lately so I don't know if anyone reads this anymore and probably not, but in any case I had to document Olivia's first day of preschool!! I seriously am dying she is this old! We have had a count down going on for a month now and Liv has been beyond excited to go! She did SO good and I am really proud of my little girl!!

4th of July

So our 4th of July was a little different this year ... Matt decided to skip out on us for some stupid place called Alaska .... for an entire week .... yeah I know .... and then my Mom and sister decided to skip out on us as well .... double lame .... lucky for us my cute Dad had to stay back so he took us to dinner every night, played with the kids, and gave me a little break while everyone else was gone. We didn't do our usual partying but still had a good time. We went to a fun parade and little carnival which I didn't get any pictures of ... but Liv had the best time in all the bounce houses .... then that night just us and my Dad had a BBQ, did some fireworks ... which were like way too illegal and scared the crap out of all of us :) ... and just played!

I must admit that this was the hardest time EVER having Matt gone and I seriously do not know how single parents do it. By the end of the week I was physically and emotionally done and kind of felt like such a baby that I could barely last a week! I really lucked out with my Hubs and am so grateful for what a good daddy and husband he is!!

Oh Oakley rodeo how I love you! It is one of my most favorite things to go to and I really look forward to it all year! Liv is my little cowgirl is had been so into horses, cowboy boots, and hats for a couple of years and I just this little gal! And Matt was a trooper .... he left the next morning very early for Alaska!

California Lovin'

BEST.VACATION.EVER. Loved every second!! This was the first "real" time I have left my kids and the first time since our HONEYMOON it was just Matt and I going away .... yeah we were due!! We went to California to visit some great friends and had such an amazing time with them!!! We did so much, ate so much great food, and shopped so much! My perfect vacation!

Highlights:

Most amazing red velvet pancakes & cookie crust french toast ... Sprinkles Cupcakes ... renting beach cruisers and riding down the beach ... Yummy Mexican food ... Santa Monica Pier ... Matt getting beat up by the boys :) ... Shopping ... Kaia! ... Dodgers game ... Laughing so hard SO Late at night and now not remembering why ... U2!!! ... Dodger Dog ... Shopping ... Diet Coke ... NO KIDS to worry about!!!!! ... listening to the boys laugh and laugh ... doing whatever we wanted whenever we wanted ... starting an obsession with Lululemon ... boys golfing at way too nice a course ... relaxing at the beach ... almost peeing my pants from laughing too hard ... and just having time with Matt and I!! Seriously Hansen's we cannot thank you enough!!! And our kids were in HEAVEN with Grandma and Grandpa - this needs every year!!

On Friday my cute, little sister Jenny got married!! We love her husband who's name is also Matt :) and are just so excited for them! It was such a wonderful week so this post is LONG! Wednesday evening we had seriously the most fun open house ever up in Logan. Matt's family did a wonderful job! It was at this amazing place that was huge and they had a bounce houses, a photo booth, a mechanical bull, ping pong, the famous Aggie ice cream .... yeah crazy right? My kids thought they were in heaven!

So yes it is true we seriously partied all week long with the boys. I had to post pictures from Matt's big birthday weekend .... I actually pulled off a surprise party for him on Friday and it was a blast! Saturday we partied some more and then on his real birthday, Sunday, we were at it again! I'm so glad he had a wonderful weekend!!

For Jack's birthday we pretty much celebrated for two straight days ... spoiled little kid! Sunday we had our families over for his monster birthday! He was obsessed with the blue cake and looked like a little smurf once he destroyed it .... Then on his actual birthday we went to the aquarium, lunch with daddy, dinner with grandparents, and build-a-bear ... phew! I think he was in heaven!! Hope this little guy knows how much we love him!!! Still can't believe he is one .....

Wow, has it been like a year since I last was on here? I have just been so busy with these two kiddos and just loving life! We have been up to a lot of fun, and these kids are growing like crazy! So I figured I'd give a little update on the crazies ....

- Currently taking dance & just started indoor soccer with her buddy Tanner and talks about it non-stop

- Is obsessed with Disneyland ... seriously not sure where this came from but she asks every day if we can go ... I am thinking we need to make a trip there soon

- Way into dressing up .... especially as Rapunzel

- Talking NON-STOP .... it's hilarious

- Is the best big sister with Jack and keeps an eye out for him putting things in his mouth

- She carry's little random toys around with her all day .... like today she has a book from a happy meal, a sticker, and a pig puzzle piece ... they go everywhere!

- Is still wild, lively, silly, & fun!

Our favorite Saturday activity is bowling .....

- Is EVERYWHERE and is a monster .... in a good way ...

- Loves the stairs and playing on chairs

- Still a Momma's Boy .... :)

- Eats anything and everything that we give him ... his latest favorite are peas, popsicles, BBQ beef, and he loves turkey sandwiches ....

- Is still easy going, but has started to be A LOT more noisy

- He is still such a giggler ... especially when he is tired

- He has a basketball toy and seriously plays with it all day long ... it is so cute watching him put the ball in the basket over and over and over again ....

- He is so much fun and LOVES his sister!!

We had such a fun day for Olivia's birthday .... even though it was right before Christmas! She wanted to go "jump", have Mac & Cheese, & get a Rapunzel cake .... pretty easy little girl!!

That morning I decorated her door and made a birthday sign with all the Disney Princesses .... we are a little obsessed with them right now!

She got McDonald's pancakes .... mmm! Don't you love the hat? We went to Zurchers a week earlier and she picked out all her decorations ... including this beauty :)

Three Years Old!

Today my Olivia is 3! We just don't know what we would do without our sweet, sassy, silly, fun-loving, full of energy, little girl!! Liv had her very first dance recital last week and I can't tell you enough how proud I was!! She did awesome and wasn't scared at all .... all she kept asking was when it was Livie's turn to dance on the stage! Cheese!

I LOVE this time of the year, it is packed full of fun activities and traditions with the kids and I just love it! Liv has been SOOOO fun this year, I am seriously in heaven with it. She is beyond obsessed with Santa right now .... like we have seen him at the mall 6 times .... and is so excited for Christmas!

Oh my gosh things have been crazy around here! Fun, but busy!! I haven't posted forever and these are a bunch of random, fun things that we have been doing!

We went to The Festival of Tree's to see Alexa's tree .... yeah picture is on my phone but it was amazing! .... but this picture is us leaving ..... I only had the single stroller and we parked so far away that I made Liv ride in it with Jack ... wow

We have been doing so many fun Halloween things lately, I just love it! This time of the year is the best. We stopped at the pumpkin patch at the last second one night and as you can tell the kids were worn out! But Liv had such a fun time picking out her pumpkin with Daddy!

This past weekend my cute mom took my sisters and I on another wonderful girls trip to St. George and Las Vegas. We had such a great time and yes the Jack Master was invited :) ... Poor little guy! It was so nice to just hang out with the girls, relax, and shop!!

Oh my gosh I can't even believe my baby is 6 months today!!!! AH!! Seriously whereIt makes me so sad how fast time is going. Here are somethings about our little Jack right now....

- He is a major sleeper .... normally 12 hours a night!

- Loves anything and everything in his mouth

- He LOVES his big sister .... I mean his face lights up and he just giggles at her constantly ... cutest thing ever

- He is a major giggler .... this kids laughs all day long!

- He is a major eater and has been through all the baby food

- He loves popsicles .... and pancakes :)

- He has no desire to sit .... seriously child

- He still won't take a bottle ....

- He loves his jumperoo

- He gets hyper at night and is hilarious!

- He is seriously the BEST baby ever. I am not just saying this either, I wonder all the time how we got so blessed with him! This little guy is constantly happy and content. I forget he is there sometimes, especially having a sister like Liv ... I don't know what we would do without our sweet Jack!!

In August we had a couple of little trips planned and had such a great time on each! With my family this year we decided to stay at our cabin and then do fun activities each day .... we just LOVE the cabin and had so much fun with each other!! Liv is in heaven up in the mountains and pretty much thinks she owns the place :) Sorry this is such a long post, I am trying to catch up a little here!

I am just loving the ages of my kids and have been having such a great time with them! Jack is pretty much the best baby in the whole world and Liv is hilarious and at the best age! They both love each other and I am loving how they interact a lot now ... so much fun!!!

Liv just finished her first round of swim lessons and she LOVED them!! We have a serious water dog on our hands and she is not afraid of anything! It was so great doing them with fun friends and being able to hang out with them every day at the pool!!

Over Father's Day weekend we were able to go to Island Park with the entire Nordhoff family. We had such a great time fishing, riding 4 wheelers, and going to Yellowstone. Liv was in heaven with all the cousins, we barely ever saw her!!

We got Jackson's newborn pictures taken by the wonderful Lindsay Wright ... she did an amazing job!! She is awesome and I must say the photo shoot was surprisingly a breeze, both kiddos did great ... pretty sure that is the only time that will happen! Sorry there are a ton, I just have so many I love!!

P.S. No Jackson is not jaundice, he just got lucky and got his Daddy's skin ... he makes me look SO pasty in all the pictures!

One Month

This little stud turned one month a few days ago and I am still in shock he is even here!! He has been such a blessing and is SUCH a good baby .... now I realize how hard Liv really was .... poor little guy has been battling ear infections and a cold this past week and still has been so good! Here are some things about my little man .....

- He is a MAJOR eater .... MAJOR

- He is really strong with his head and can hold it up really well

- He is smiling and "talking" to me in the mornings and I love it!

- He is a whopping 10 lbs and is growing like crazy

- He loves to cuddle

- He loves his little jungle gym already

- Did I mention he likes to eat?

- He likes to roll back and forth from his back to his sides

- He is such a sweetheart

- He is a good sleeper and has been doing 6 hour stretches since he was 2 weeks ... love him

- I am pretty much obsessed with this little guy and can't imagine life without him!!!

Baby Jack

Jackson Matthew Nordhoff is here and so perfect!! He surprised us on April 11th at 5:28 am and weighed in at 6 lbs 15 ounces and 19 inches long. It is a good thing he is such a sweetheart because the last few weeks he put us through craziness!! Going into labor a month early, kidney infection, kidney stone, and then to top it off he is almost born in the car ..... yes you heard that right, the car! So I started getting contractions around 3 am .... 15 mins apart and not too strong, I had been having braxton hicks so this was nothing new to me. A little after 4 it was still the same, but we called the hospital just to see what they thought. I was told to take two tylenol and get in the warm tub and it would stop ..... yeah let's just say they went from 15 mins and nothing to 1 min and I thought I was dying. Really. We hurried to the car, left Liv asleep, and flew to the hospital. Matt somehow got us there in like 2 mins and got me inside and explained what happened. They then told me I was almost a 9 ... my being the dummy asked when I could have my epidural and was kindly told that was not a possibility. I kind of freaked out. No really freaked out. It was horrible. Worst pain ever, but he was born about 20 mins later and we love him so much! Matt was amazing, I mean really amazing as I am crying/screaming about how I can't do this, he stayed so calm and was such a support. I am so grateful for him! And Liv has been LOVING him and has been an amazing big sister! I am so thankful for our little family! Sorry for the story and all the pics, not sure when I will be able to blog again :)

Easter Weekend

We had such a fun weekend, which was LONG overdue after the crazy week we had. On Saturday we took Liv to Thanksgiving Point to the Dinosaur Museum and as we were getting there, the Easter egg hunt was just ending so we were able to enjoy some of the fun for free!

One of the most fun things about having a girl is dressing them up! Since Easter is over General Conference, and hopefully the Sunday after we are home with a baby :), I had Liv wear here dress this week! I love this little outfit .... fits her to a T!

I just had to do a post on how much I love this wild, little thing. As we get really close (two weeks!) to having our little guy come, I am starting to get a little anxious about my sweet girl. It has been her and I non-stop for two years, she has been the greatest lunch pal and shopping buddy. We have our schedule down and have fun with just us girls during the day. I hope she will still know how much I love her and how she is still my best pal, especially when we are adjusting and not out and about doing fun things for her ..... I do know she will be the BEST big sister though!! Don't know what I would do without my wild thing!!!

Liv LOVES the potty, really loves it. So the other day we went and had her pick out her own little potty and every day she wants to sit on it .... good sign right? She still doesn't understand it all quite yet, so hopefully in the near future!! P.S. don't you love the concentration on her face? She does it every time she sits on the potty ... I mean this is serious buisness people :)

And for some reason she always looks inside after .... funny, but ew ....

New Year's Weekend

For New Year's we went up to my parents cabin and had way too much fun!! Lots of food and fun and is just so relaxing, we really love this place! There is FINALLY enough snow up there for sledding and let's just say Liv LOVED it!! Last year she was still too small for some of the major hills, but this year she did it all plus more! I love that we have a little snow bunny!!

So I wonder why Liv is wild .... she seriously loves her Uncle Jake because he plays with her! She pretty much orders him around the whole time :)

She kept wanting him to flip her over his head .... poor guy sure got his work out!

We did lots of fireworks New Year's Eve and kept Liv up way too late!

Wow we had such a wonderful Christmas and it was SO much fun with Liv!! She was out of control and loved every second of it! I can't believe it was my baby's birthday yesterday!!!! AHH!!! Liv is the greatest, little thing ever and we are so lucky to have her a part of our family! Let the Christmas fun begin! This year we decided to take Liv on the Polar Express up in Heber and we all LOVED it! First we went to mine and Liv's favorite, Dairy Keen, so yum! Liv loves trains as of lately and the entire time yelled choo-choo. The train ride was awesome and there were so many fun things going on. We read the Polar Express, had cookies and hot chocolate served to us, sang christmas songs, talked to the elves, and saw Santa! This is a great new tradition we are going to start!!

So our little Liv is wild, pretty sure I have said that about a million times, but pretty much all she has her age are little boys ........ it is hilarious .... and scary .... to see how well she fits in with the boys and holds her own. Good thing she has a little brother on the way!

When we found out I was pregnant again I knew we had to get going on re-doing the extra bedroom for Liv. So the past little while that is what I have been up to and now it is all done! I must say it is my favorite room in the house now and Liv LOVES it!! Next step is having her sleep in her big girl bed ... wish us luck!

Fall Fun & Halloween!!

Like I have said before I LOVE fall and Liv and I have been able to have a lot of fun since I am FINALLY feeling better! Her new favorite thing is to run through the leaves and "help" rake them!

We were able to go to Gardner Village with my Mom and see all the fun witches .... love it there!

Wearing her costume has been the highlight of this week .... and as you can see her fairy costume fits her personality to a T! Halloween was SOOOO much fun this year with her and Liv loved trick or treating and eating all the candy :)

The fall is my most favorite season and I think it is because there are so many fun things to do! A couple of weeks ago we went to a fun pumpkin patch and got us some pumpkins. Matt and Liv were both so funny because it took them a while to choose one. Needless to say we had a blast and Liv enjoyed running wild!!

Today Matt and I have been married three years! I seriously cannot imagine life without him and his sense of humor. He keeps me happy and constantly laughing and is the greatest Dad. I love him more than words and am so grateful I have him!
